NAuditors welcome and invited to make a donation to the Association, bring their own chair and by coming, they're accepting that pictures of them may be taken and published.
No better way to start your riding season than with a Cowboy Challenge clinic with Joanne Renaud!
This one day clinic will allow riders the opportunity to gain confidence and experience with their horses over a variety of obstacles.
- Open to riders of all riding experience, ages and disciplines.
- Riders will be split into two groups and the teaching will be adapted around the rider’s goals, making sure that everyone gets the most out of their time in the saddle.
- A second outdoor ring is available for riders who wish to warm up or ride when it is not their group-time.
Who is JOANNE RENAUD?
- Licensed trainer with Equestrian Canada
- Certified trainer with Cheval Quebec
- Member of the Quebec Cowboy challenge demonstration team which traveled the province promoting the sport in 2014
- Competing in cowboy challenge since 2014

Vax Day Barn Hop in the Pontiac
for small and medium sized stables

In the absence of an equine veterinarian and in order to maintain immunity in the Pontiac horse herds, the Pontiac Equestrian Association is organizing a vaccination clinic on Saturday March 25, 2023.
Doctor Yves Bouvier has agreed to help the equestrian community by visiting the stables of the Pontiac to provide the following services only:
• Vaccination;
• Coggins;
• Dewormer;
• Teeth verification.

The fees for the services are indicated in the form.
The veterinarian's call fee will be determined once registration is completed and will be communicated to participants.

Halloween Poker Ride, October 29th (rain date 30 Oct.)
Bring your horse, a costume (optional but you know you want to!) and ride the colourful Gatineau park hilly trail.
Great prizes for best poker hand and most awesome costume...

What to expect from the poker ride:
The mountain trail (Steele to Eardley-Masham Rd.) is a 10 km round trip. You can ride longer if you wish. See event in FB for details.

September 26th 2020
Terry Fox's 40th and AEP's 10th Anniversary Ride

To honour the 40th anniversary of the first Terry Fox Run and to mark 10 years since the Pontiac Equestrian Association was formed, the Pontiac Equestrian Association will host a fundraising ride for the Terry Fox Foundation as part of Pontiac’s #Try Like Terry initiative. The kilometres ridden by each rider will go towards helping the Pontiac team reach its goal of 5,373 kms. And we are asking all riders to bring a donation for the Terry Fox Foundation.
 The ride will start from 225 Pilon Rd, Luskville. Riders will have the option of a moderately challenging route or a route which includes some steep and challenging hills. Groups can ride within their own social bubble, heading out at intervals starting at 10 am. The ride is free for members, non-members can buy a day pass or a pass for the rest of the season.

Summer to Fall 2020: Virtual Schooling Show. 
Get inspired by your horse, video your performances  and join this fun and friendly on-line schooling show. 8 classes are featured, and all classes are open to English and Western riders. There’s even a class for carriage drivers!  Driving - Attelage Showmanship - Présentation Horsemanship Green rider - Équitation, débutant Horsemanship Salty rider - Èquitation cavaliers chevronnés Musical freestyle - Style libre avec musique 3 Obstacle challenge green rider - Défis aux 3 obstacles débutants 3 Obstacle challenge salty rider - Défis aux 3 obstacles cavaliers chevronnés

Spring Tack Sale Social (cancelled)
Sunday March 15th, 9 to 5 pm, Luskville Community Centre
SELL all that horse and barn equipment that is not being used or just come to SHOP for a great deal! Enjoy a drink and snacks while you are there from the cafeteria ($) and let the kids (or yourself!) paint stall name signs ($5 fee per sign). Entrance is free.
To sell equipment a table must be rented.
Profits will support the Pontiac Equestrian Association maintain their trail so it stays safe and accessible.

February 16 - 1 to 4 pm at the Luskville community centre : Paint afternoon  
Painting afternoon led by our resident artist, Jeanette Schevers who will guide you through the process. Bring a snack to share and your own drink (non-alcoholic). Everyone's welcome to join! Just let us know you are coming by sending us a message before Wednesday the 12th of February so we can have enough supplies.
