Pontiac Equestrian Association

Become a Member

Welcome!

Pontiac Equestrian is a volunteer association founded to secure access for horse and rider to the spectacular equestrian trail in the Gatineau Park. In partnership with the National Capital Commission (NCC), the Association develops and maintains the trail (the former cattle drive route) that runs from the Steele Line Road, at the western-most end of the trail, to the Vaillant Farm, on Lebrun Road, at the east end of the trail.
To ride the trail, you must either become a member or purchase a day-pass. See more under “membership” below.
In addition to maintaining the trail, we also organize a few yearly activities for our members.
Join us on the trail to experience the beauty of the Gatineau Park from your horse’s back.

Please note: the Association does not offer guided trail rides on rental horses.
A reminder for trail users:
Every trail user must be a member of the Association. Membership is payable annually in January and is valid until December. If you only want to ride the trail once, there is also the option to purchase a day-pass but only if you already have liability insurance through Cheval Quebec or Ontario Equestrian.
